We've gotten a bunch of emails from friends and family who aren't sure where we are in relation to the tragic bombing of two American hotels in Jakarta this morning. We left Indonesia on Monday and are safely in Thailand, far from those unfortunate events, but certainly shaken by the tragedy. Our thoughts and prayers are with the families of those people injured or killed by today's events.
We leave tomorrow for Bangkok where we are hoping to find a fast enough internet connection to update you all on our wonderful time here in Thailand. In the meantime, thanks to everyone who sent kind wishes of safe travel. In truth, the greatest dangers we face are my insistence on eating food from shockingly unhygienic street vendors and Clare's apparent immunity to sunscreen. Please send Tums and SPF 475.
